What a fricking disaster
FF7 might have went a bit wacky but THIS is how you kill a franchise

I guess it really should have just been the one game. Not everything needs a sequel.
If anything should have been one and done TLoU was that game

I think everyone thought Joel would die after the first trailer. If anything it's the opposite of subverting expectations.

I didn’t think anything would disappoint me more than the “story” in MGSV after all its hype.
TLOU2 might surpass it by leaps and bounds.

Evan looks exactly like I pictured the people responsible for this.

This is what everyone who was being honest with themselves said.
The desire for unnecessary sequels is a plague in movies and now with "cinematic" gaming, has become a problem there as well.

Holy shite does Sony WANT to lose the next gen?

Welp the list of quality AAA game coming up just got shorter. I loved the first one, but will only try this when it has a really good discount.

Lost in all the focus on the 2nd half tranny'like protagonist, there's been almost no discussion about the rest of the key elements of the "plot"
The bisexual love triangle between Ellie, the goblin nose girl, and the Chinese guy. There's an actual cutscene where they awkwardly dry hump each other.
The main group of antagonists throughout the world are a fanatical religious group, which serve as a lazy placeholder for Christians but they obviously don't call them that. They believe the virus is God's judgement for sin and hate gays for being sinful and are depicted in the game as almost exclusively white rednecks.
The purple haired, pierced nose, morbidly obese crowd who don't even play video games is going to love everything about it.
It's clear they had 0 intention of making an enjoyable video game or telling a story people would resound to.
This was all about them pushing their social politics and trying to be "subversive" because destroying things people actually like has for some reason also become a cornerstone of "wokeness"

I didn’t realize how bad the plot of this game was lmao. I played thru halfway of the original and got bored to death. Guess I shouldn’t even bother finishing it?

I thought the first game told an excellent story of a broken man finding humanity again with a beautifully tragic yet satisfying ending.
The story definitely could have ended there and everyone would have been happy. If they wanted a sequel, it really shouldn’t have even involved Joel and Ellie.

How long until the SJW shite infects Cory Balrog and God of War? He talks openly about his affinity for Naughty Dog

Wrong.
This is easy to say when the sequel comes out and is trash (or in this case leaked prior), but absolutely everyone wanted this.
ETA Anyone telling you they didn't want a Matrix sequel prior to Reloaded is someone you shouldn't trust.

that’s just not true man
There were plenty of people expressing skepticism when the sequel was announced years ago that Joel and Ellie’s story didn’t need to be expounded on. It was actually one of the main talking points surrounding the sequel, so I’m honestly not sure what you are talking about.
