I've read zero reviews and watched zero trailers. Trying to go into The Last Guardian blind.

We were discussing this earlier: this game has a Fallout feel to it, just in the sense that if you love the previous two games you'll love this regardless and probably overlook all the technical issues this series can't seem to fix, which is what is causing a wide range of review scores.

Yes reviews seem to be all over. What it does well it does amazing and what it does poorly is just terrible.

I think we all knew this wasn't going to be Shadow of the Colossus 2.0...

I'll be picking it up. Seems to be 8s and 9s across the board, with the occasional 7.5 or 10. All say that the positives outweigh the clunkiness

A few scores in the 6's too. You either can't stand the mechanics or you tolerate them. The people I follow weren't crazy about the game.

Jim sterling, kinda funny, and mixed IGN people

Jim really is one of the best guys out there, even if he's one of the hardest on games.

He's cosistent. He does say that he wanted to like it a lot and everytime he started to something with the mechanics brought him down.

47 years in development. 83 on Metacritic

83 for a game ten years in development hell is actually kind of amazing.

After watching Giant Bomb's quick play the game looks yo be in a beta state. Doesn't look polished. I'm interested in the title after watching. The little weird dog bird thing looks beautiful.

Short story, bad mechanics but looks good. Nope.

I did feel like he completely missed the point on the relationship between the boy and the beast. They don't understand each other, and it's not trained to do anything. It's not a completely fluid experience because that wouldn't make any sense. I understand that can be frustrating because the beast isn't the perfect AI companion, but the developers really don't care. They wanted to take the player out of a place of control and power.

He explains it well in his video he did. The behavior is not consistent. He showed some of it and I don't think all that was on purpose.

Who purchased this game?
Might go pick up a Pro and Last Guardian tonight.

I want to hear some board reviews as well.
I heard the game is 12-14 hours long, which goes hand-in-hand w/ the length of their past games it seems. Just not sure I can spend $60 on a game knowing that's it.
