Can anyone explain DZ for me? Just picked up the game and haven't played much yet.

It's PVE until someone decides to kill another player.
And it gives better loot than regular PVE. The loot though is contaminated and must be extracted to be usable. The extraction zones are where it really gets dicey on if other players kill other players to steal the loot they recovered.

So at lv 14 go in the dark zone. Then 19. Then 24.
At least at those levels you can go to an extraction zone with enemies a few levels lower than you.

That's one thing I may do for a second toon, twink them out essentially.
Wonder how viable that'll be as the game continues, seems like the dark zone is a really fun place. And the penalty for going rogue out lower levels is lower too.

I just got started playing over the weekend. Many they really stepped the DZ enemies up from the Beta. I went in there around level 8 just to mess around for a bit. It did not go well

Hopefully they fix the rogue system in DZ. It's a mess right now.
You can lose 1-2 days of work if you die as a rogue in the higher levels. The reward you get doesn't even boost your DZ level up, even if you complete the State 5 manhunt.
Supposedly Massive is going to fix the DZ issue. I know they already fixed all the Phoenix Credits so people couldn't max out every single piece of gear.

I just learned that Xbox gets new Division expansions 1 month before anyone else

On a side note, I hopped in a random matchmaking for a mission and ended up with a LSU fan and coltdavid5 - who claimed to be Colt David from LSU's championship team. He confirmed the trophy date, so there's that.

That feel when you stock up at a safe house and run several kilometers to get to a raid. Only to run into a large group of bad guys a little before you get to the raid and use up all your med kits before dieing returning back to the safe house....

Bought it and just fired it up tonight. Completed the precinct siege and sAved the hostages after going through the tunnel. Still sorta lost on everything. I've just been to the safe house.

There is no possible way to survive in dark zone by yourself at lvl 30 unless you have some of the best gear in the game. Got my arse plowed constantly by the mobs. There was a group every 20 yards
