Since no one else has started this I guess I will.
Finishing up a paper, work tomorrow then off until Monday. Lots of gaming, drinking, and merriment will be had.

Is Friday considered a holiday? I need to know if I should be demanding to have off or not.

I work at a college, they are actually giving us Monday off instead of Friday... their reasoning "We want students to go home and spend Easter with their family, and not feel forced to jump back to college the next day"

i would rather that honestly, but i'm already taking off the following friday as well so it is what it is.

I get paid vacation and time and a half on anything over 40 hours... it's so nice. (never had time and a half before, and have worked many many a jobs with no paid vacation)

I don't mind the no time and 1/2. I'm happy with my compensation but the no paid vacation thing makes it nearly impossible for me take any time off longer than a few days. I'm not capable of saving money to do it either.
