Seems like our resident computer expert was flummoxed by his video card last night.
Anyways I downloaded Ironsight and had an enjoyable time.

typical bruce stuff, saying nothing else was needed.
Not the case. Apparently the guy that put my PC together used a 6+2 into the PSU and a single 8 pin into the 1070, as one 8 pin was all that was needed. The 1080ti needs two 8 pins, and I don't have that cable. Gotta go find one today after work.

Got to do the wonderful 1.5 hour drive to work at 5:45 this morning. Worth it since the Pels are in the playoffs and playing the blazers

Bruce didn't assume that you threw all your PSU cables away since you weren't using them.
I guess that is Bruce's fault, he knows who he is dealing with.

Just go to best buy or grab one from computer tech at school

He'd have to buy a whole new PSU. A lot of PSU manufacturers use their own connections for modular expansions.
Edit: Did the video card not come with Molex to 6+2pin adapters? What power supply do you have?

Im assuming thats the two cables that have two white 6 pins on one end and the 8 pin on the other. Yes, it came with two of those.

At least we see things the same way now.
I looked for the cables in some of the boxes I have, but most of them are in storage and there is a better chance that they did get tossed. What makes these different from stuff at best buy or a PC store, the connectors into the PSU?
