I replaced the modem which worked great for a while but now the problem is suddenly back
I may have too many splitters but I haven't changed anything in 3 years

I had a strange problem like this in my old house, but it was with my alarm system going off randomly in the middle of the night. Turns out one of the doohickies upstairs wasn't all the way screwed in and that was causing the thing to trip.
Maybe something's loose up there?

Is your internet through your cable provider?
I had a tech tell me that you should split your main line coming into the house. Take One half to control your TV's and the other should go to the cable modem. Also have to make sure your using the thicker cable.

My main line goes to a 9 way splitter in my alarm control box
I have a line off that splitter that goes to another splitter on the opposite end of the house to my office and my sons room
I need to run 2 lines from the 9 way to each room instead of splitting one
Not sure it will work but it can't hurt

looks like this, so i guess its only 8
i'm gonna leave all this new wiring to the tech, i signed up for that 4.99 service plan so i dont have to pay for any kind of shite that he has to do
