Most of it is all gathered in the article I’ll link below but will be pulling quotes out for those that don’t want to read it all

Gameleap

quote:

This second FF16 DLC will be available for purchase on the PlayStation 5 (PS5) for $19.99. However, you can save a few dollars by opting for the Expansion Pass, which includes both The Rising Tide and the previously released Echoes of the Fallen DLC for $24.99. It's worth noting that the PC version of FF16, which is expected to be released soon, may or may not include the DLC at launch. The developers have promised a PC demo featuring the unabridged first two hours of the base game, but the availability of the DLCs remains uncertain.

quote:

The DLC narrative suggests that the people of Mysidia, in an effort to better the situation for Bearers across Valisthea, created their own Mothercrystal. This powerful act gave rise to the Eikon Leviathan

quote:

creation of this Mothercrystal came at a horrific cost, the sacrifice of an unknown child, who may have become Leviathan's Dominant. The DLC's central story arc will likely focus on Clive's quest to uncover the truth behind this dark history and potentially save the sacrificed child from their tragic fate.

quote:

Mysidia is sure to offer a deeper understanding of these individuals who can wield magic without the aid of crystals. The DLC may delve into the struggles and challenges faced by Bearers in other regions of Valisthea, and how Mysidia has become a refuge for them. Additionally, the Bearers of Mysidia will likely have their own unique set of side quests for Clive to undertake, further expanding the lore and allowing you to engage with this secluded community.

quote:

the introduction of the Eikon Leviathan will not only add a new water-based playstyle for Clive but also present new combat scenarios and challenges for you to overcome. Mastering Leviathan's timing-based abilities and Tidal Gauge mechanics will be crucial

quote:

Beyond the main story quests, the DLC will also include an optional Notorious Mark boss, the monstrous water spirit Thalaos, providing an additional challenge for you to tackle.

This appears the be the big super boss of the game. I know 16 wasn’t some peoples cup of tea but if you wanted more answers than questions, Or harder combat scenarios, with a new eikon to play with it looks like it could deliver that. For 20$ I’d expect it to be pretty beefy.

Glad you posted this. It really needed a new thread and couldn’t possibly have been added to your other one.

Thanks!

I didn’t see a other thread about it on the first page? Perhaps they show less pages on mobile and not desktop im not sure. It’s not like this board is exploding with threads that it’s an issue but I apologize if I upset you with new information about a still pretty recent games expansion. I’ll say 10 hail Mary’s

Gonna fire up a new playthrough for the dlc? Hopefully the tenth is just as good as the first, king.

I’ve only beaten 16 twice actually. I’ll probably do a fresh and final one for this dlc though. The game is is just far too full of MMO style nonsense and busy work for many play throughs. I’d rather play Rebirth 10 times than 16 5. You can do a ng+ on hard in rebirth in under 10 hours. The game is also braindead easy my biggest wish from rising tide is some smidge of challenge. The omega fight was dope and a solid step in the correct path. Playing Rebirth on hard if you’re not ready and fully attentive you’ll get you’re shite pushed in asap.
