Shipbuilder on Xbox is a bit to figure out how to control, can see how it would be easier with the mouse, but I was able to create my bastardized version of Frontier called Southern Ugly; and its ugly and cool.

There are a ton of videos on how to build stuff. I've decided to go the route of just buying a good ship then slowly upgrading it as money allows. I'm at the point where I have plenty of funds to add more weapons to my Narwal, but I keep hitting an error about having more than 3 types of weapons (even though the extras are the same as one of my other three).

That's where I am too. I was able to steal a Va'Ruun Prophecy III and upgrade it to an absolute beast.

So ran into The Viewport just now and The Hunter is chilling against the wall. Can't talk to him but hadn't seen him or the Emisary just hanging out before

I have a small asteroid that hangs out above my ship wherever I go. Even when it's docked at a spaceport it's just there in the sky chilling.

On Ultrawide the mouse doesn't line up properly in ship builder so everything you select needs to have a offset of where you think the mouse should be. Makes it a real pain. I just completed the rangers questline so that ship is pretty good. Don't see a reason to use my other ships as I haven't lost a space battle.

Seems to be that this game was designed to speed run through multiple NG+'s. A little atypical for a BSG game.

I'm on NG+2 now and currently aiming for NG+10 to collect the end game equipment. I'll settle down and do the faction quests I didn't do my first playthrough once I get to NG+10.

Once you enter your first NG+ you can skip the main story and just collect artifacts and upgrade powers. Each NG+ only takes 2-3 hours.

I've been traveling, but I'm not having the itch of having the play when I get back. I think subconsciously I'm waiting for quality of life MODs and the modders to take over some of the moons.

I called it quits for NG+ after getting Starborn Guardian VI. That is the highest level ship and Armor and temple skills already seem overpowered at this level.

Pretty much feel invincible with Phased Time VI, even going up against Lvl 70+ enemies. It was getting old telling them I am Starborn and doing basically the same thing over and over.

Started up full campaign at this level to knock out all side quests and build ships.

I kinda just called it quits after NG+ when I realized that I was going to have to do the temples like 240 times in total. The NG+ core loop is arse, particularly the temples, IMO. The artifacts are fine, but having to fly back to the Eye over and over and go through the same little gameplay loop is SO unrewarding as-is.

The rest of the game is fun and I have had a good time. I wish POIs were a little more dense. On planets with plants and life it's not too bad because I enjoy scanning the fauna/flora while traveling but on barren planets it's not very fun lol.

On playthough 3 I said screw the temples. All those powers are cool, but then I realized Phase Time is my go to for anything difficult and you get that for getting the last artifact.

People who went to lvl 10 on all powers are freaking dedicated with all those trips back to the Eye

I only really use 2 powers: Personal atmosphere, and the one that gives you a clone. Beyond that idgaf about the powers. Phase Time is also good but I just don't ever feel the need to use it really.

I was planning on leveling everything up, but now I'm going to just speed run artifacts to get the NG+10 armor set and then be done.

I use the powers but really don't care about getting all of them to lvl 10.

Yeah but I really want the NG+10 armor aesthetically.

If I feel overpowered I'll increase the difficulty. NG+4 as of today.

Money flows easier with each restart, however it would be much more fun to loop through if you could keep your credits or a percentage of them. Maybe carry one ship over.

That is the worst part. Weapons are easy to get, however it is hard to walk away from 500,000+ credits and your ships.

The Guardian is a great ship, but they have no character and you can build a much better ship. This is the main reason I am calling it quits right now at NG+6. I just want to build ships again

Yeah fully agree. Losing ships is the biggest drawback to NG+. The Guardian isn't great. Crew or their Weapon skills don't affect it's weapons, it has no bed, no workbenches, etc. Once I'm tired of NG+ and settle down, the first thing I'm doing is building a new ship.
