I like it and a few people on this board play it too.

I just wanted to make sure it was good. I read some reviews earlier and it was all mixed. So was just getting a view from others

A lot of the mixed reviews come from Starcraft 1 players who didn't enjoy two as much but overall I love the game and watch tournaments all the time.

I like the user map settings games.

I do!
If you haven't bought it yet, do. It has revitalized the gamer in me.
I might not be that good at it, but I love it. And for $50 or whatever it is, it pays for itself in a month. Heck, even the custom games along pay for it.

The only people who really have issues with it are elitest who want it to be exactly the same as SC:BW, and perfectly balanced instantly.

I played the hell out of the first one in high school. I quit playing when I got tired of getting my arse kicked by the Koreans. Never picked up the second for fear of the same arse-whooping.

If you don't play a lot and aren't a natural you will get your arse handed to you online. It's a steep learning curve to be competitive right away.
But it's a great game though.

Nah, you'll just be placed into bronze league, where everyone is bad. It's not too bad.

Hey, man. Don't be hating on my league.
Last night I was planetary fortress rushed, and I saw it flying over the whole time, put some units on it and underneath it and the freaking thing still landed! I was pissed off. I did exactly what I was supposed to do and it didn't work. I wasn't a happy camper so I went back and played another game and pwned nubs.

Almost all of them.

Wrong wrong and wrong.
My issue is how terrible routine and boring the play is. Play 10 games and you've done 95% of what you can do in the entire game.

I think the hardest part of the game is getting your APM up to a decent level.
It's hard to have a solid macro and micro game, but most people end up focusing on one or the other (which causes them to lose). It's hard to "remember" to keep doing both things.
I do agree that battles become predictable, especially in regards to a specific map. But, trying new and different builds often surprise your opponent, when they're expecting the typical game.
Mass raven, mass ghost, etc.
So, that kind of play keeps it fun.

That's the good part about SC2, getting placed in a league with similar skills. It would probably kill the online play if you always had to play against people that are pro-gamers.
So pwning some newbs is awesome, builds confidence, and keeps the game fun.
I just started playing some 2v2, and it's completely different.

I strongly disagree. I have never played the same match twice, and that's what keeps it fun for me.
There's 3 races, loads of maps, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, FFA, ground units, air units, tech abilities, transport abilities, aggressive strategies, defensive strategies, rush strategies, unit balancing strategies, opening strategies, map control strategies, attack timings, base attack timing, expo attack timings, etc...
You should watch some pro gamers play ON THE SAME MAP and get back to me on that.
