It gives you the highest level that's not in your "premade" lineup. Your premade lineup is the team you used last in that particular mode.
Once i got Lumi, it never offered me Vertigeaux's Lumi anymore
You can get around it by completing an easy level without the character you want to borrow, then the next time it will offer you that character from your friends.
I always get stupid Chewbacca assists since I never use him.

Sometimes it doesn't give me anything but random people not on my ally list too.
Enjoying the game so far.

Anybody still playing? I hit level 70 a few days ago, anxious for them to bump the level cap again.
BTW, I mentioned a while back about the game using your arena rank as part of the formula to choose your GW opponents... turns out the dev that said that was wrong. Apparently they use your highest squad power in a PvP win.
Also, GW has been strangely easy for me lately. I think the last time I didn't complete it was over a week ago. How are you guys faring?

Still only get about 1/2 to 3/4 through, I haven't completed one in at least two weeks. Level 66 right now.

I'm still playing. I've been completing GW every day. I've had a few close calls. One, I had a lvl 70 team that I had to throw 2 fodder squads at to just take 1 of their guys down. Takes time to win those ones but it's worth it for the 400 in the last chest. Just got Lumi to 6 star.

Still playing. I hit level 59 today. Farming Count Dooku, Boba, and Lumi right now. GW does seem to be easier the last few days.

I finally started winning some GWs but look at this shite. 
That's a little much for a second battle. I only have 2 6* characters, a few 5* and a handful of 4*.

I'm still playing, will hit 62 today. GW has been super easy for the past 2 weeks or so, every team is about 10 levels below me, it hasn't been a challenge for a while. Now that I say that I probably won't finish it today though.

GW continues to be stupid easy for me. Here was my final fight yesterday, and I'm running all lvl 70 guys (a couple 7*, the rest 6 and 5).

that's crazy, i could probably win that fight with my characters. i'm level 59 but most of my characters are level 54 or below. i'm consistently seeing battles like the one i posted above too early in the GW. i've only completed it a handful of times.

I hate you! At level 68 I finished it twice and last night got 3/4 through, I would kill for a finale of lvl 60's.
