I played it at a friend's house. I usually hate multiplayer shooters like call of duty and battlefield, but this is a cool alternative. The online multiplayer is fun with a couple guns to choose from as you level up. Didn't try the single player. We tried the local multiplayer, but you can only have 1vs1 matches, which is a bummer. We were hoping we could get 4 of us playing 2vs2.

But like I said, the online multiplayer is fun and I could see myself playing it a bit if I was the one that bought it.

I'm sure 4340 has gotten it.

What I've heard is that's it a lot of fun, but lacking in content and modes/features. There is some DLC coming down the line to kinda fill that hole.

I bought it and have been playing the hell out of it. It's a breath of fresh air and I think Nintendo did an incredible job. I was skeptical about the matches only being 3 minutes long but it's perfect like that. I highly recommend getting it.

They have DLC coming and all of it is free from what I've read.

I downloaded it Friday, and it's been hard to put it down since. I've been looking forward to it since last E3, and I am not disappointed.

It doesn't feel like it's "lacking in content" to me, but if you need more, it's coming. Tonight at 9:00 CT, the first update is dropping with additional modes, a new stage, and a new weapon. I have heard there are 9 new stages total planned, can't confirm it, but the best part is that it will all be free. There is really no reason to wait to buy this game, so if you are considering it, go do it right now.

I've enjoyed playing with all of the weapons. I normally play with the splattershot jr (the first gun you get) or the ink roller. I'm only level 7 right now but I really like the customization options that become available each time you level up.

Got it and I love it, single player is pretty fun and multiplayer is as fun as ever. Haven't been this addicted to a multiplayer game in a while. I was sad that there is no voice chat but I can live with it I because there is nothing else like this.

I hit level 12 before work.

I pre-ordered it. I'm about level 19-20 I think. Haven't played it today so I can't remember. This game is the bomb. Online chat would screw up the competitiveness of the game in my opinion because you can see where your team mates are on the game pad map. I love the story mode too. The ________ being the secret agents is a really cute little twist. The final boss' soundtrack is oddly epic and the sunken scrolls give the game some nice depth to its origins.

It's worth every penny, forreal. And that's not just coming from a fan boy either. It probably comes off a little quirky to a few who play the more cinematically charged games and heavy AAA titles. Think of Super Mario 3D world mixed with a few mechanics of the metal gear franchise. Single player wise at least. Online is stable for the most part. You may have a hiccup or two here and there because of a server overload, but it gets fixed fairly quick.

9/10 for me. Needs more content online wise but that will come with updates in the near future. This is a smash bros tier game. As in its that popular.

The end boss to Splatoon is like.....one of the hardest video game bosses I've ever fought in my life. And I've played all the mega man games, the Master Core, and Ninja Gaiden games. This motherfricker is TOUGH!

I bought it on Friday and played a bunch over the weekend. I didn't sink too many hours into it due to the Witcher, but it's a nice change of pace compared to that game. It's a lot of fun! Only downside is the matchmaking stuff, but they have a doodle jump type game you can play on the gamepad while you wait, really smart idea.
