did they add anything this year to offline Franchise mode?

I haven't read anything about this. All the reviews/previews seemed to be about defense.

It is embarrassing how neglectful they are with regards to Franchise mode and Superstar mode.

Fifa, MLB the Show, and NBA 2k are all amazing at those 2 modes. . .why can't Madden be amazing, too?

Because as long as people are playing MUT they don't give a shite.

It's sad because it's the only viable football game.

Changed a good bit of stuff actually.

- Practice squads
- Overhauled training/progression
- Season goals
- Redid scouting/draft classes
- Ability to edit draft classes and all players
- Weekly contract negotiations

There's no story like 2K and it's not as good as Road to the Show, but it is a lot better than any Madden franchise in quite some time.

Minus the "Take a wild guess as to what button to press in order to tackle someone" bullshite, it's a decent game. Definitely the best Madden they've made in a while. But same old bullshite that plagued previous games. WRs, TEs, and RBs inexplicably drop wide open passes. Opponents just run slants/out routes all day. And once you stop that, they throw a screen. Oh and the kicking is annoying. Especially with the delay you get online. Not necessarily.... But just overly tedious.

It takes a good bit of hand eye coordination but once you see screen, switch to a D lineman if you're not already one and run over to the screen.

I got torched by the screen when I first got the game probably the first five times. After that I figured out how to stop it. Now I would say 4/5 screen plays either result in a sack, throw away or a loss of yardage. Every once in a while they will break one for 20-30 yards.

I'm also able to run the screen pass for the first time ever in this game.
