SIAP - The Indie version of Castlevania, Bloodstained, getting a sequel

I know this is a bit late but I didn’t see it posted anywhere.
Bloodstained sequel on its way per PCGamer and confirmed by Bloodstained official Twitter
For the few who backed it here maybe, and to those who are kind of shaking their head about them already making a sequel as opposed to finishing the DLC, don’t fret. Lot of people on social media don’t seem to understand most of the work if not all at the beginning of the game is done by people not directly involved with development such as programming, modeling etc. Most likely what’s being done right now is the concept artists, director/producers and writers are all coming together to formulate the base of the game while the core team of devs that actually works on the code and all that is getting the rest of the stuff done themselves.
Hoping it’s a direct sequel. Either a continuation of Miriam’s story or Ann grows up and ends up fighting demons. I think that’s more likely because of that creepy thing she said about Dominique and the shards midway through the game. Just kind of brushed it over like nothing happened. Lol.
tl;dr: you like vampires metal and big titties then a game with all that is getting a sequel with a huge budget in a year or 2.

Yeah. It’s not Hollow Knight level good but they’re different beasts.
It has full voice acting, an orchestrated soundtrack and a lot of content. The cutscenes are janky as hell though, but some of the worst parts of it add to the fun. I’d recommend it.

How would you compare it from a quality standpoint to Symphony of the Night?

There’s really nothing in Symphony you don’t get in Bloodstained. Only problems are the switch version still has bugs and isn’t up to par to the other versions and those who are a stickler for art direction might be turned off by the fact the character 3D models actually move their mouths...sometimes in a rather odd way.
Most of the games faults come in the form of the cutscenes and bugs in the switch version specifically but if you have a PC the game runs perfectly fine. The English voice actors are amazing. Like sublime.

If you like SOTN, definitely play this game. Made by the same guy who did SOTN. Pretty much the father of metroidvania style games. Worth every damn penny if you're into that.

I need to dust off my copy of bloodstained on the PS4, and finish it. I love the stupid game, but Symphony of the Night is my favorite game of all time, so it doesn't surprise me

Looks like the best dark fantasy side scrolling we’re gonna get since Konami decided to betray its former self

Link to fan survey that will be presented to Artplay and 505
If you wanna have some input on the next game, take about 15 minutes and fill this out.

Ritual of the Night was a lot better than I'd expected it to be based on some early footage. I've heard the retro spin-offs are also very good but I haven't tried them yet.

Very good game. Just make sure y’all buy it for a real console since the Switch version is like 6fps
