Why?
Interference issue because you stupidly put the drive between you and the console?
Or from some weird type of interface which is bandwidth is shared between USB/Wifi/BT module?

Worth the extra $100 just for a 4K uhd player.
I have lots of physical ps4 games that are backward compatible that i can play and then gift or trade my ps4 console. That's worth $100 to me.
Also some games i play through and trade in. I just finished Ghosts of Tsushima and didn't see replay value so i traded it in for $30 Gamestop Credit.
I better spend it quick, cause Gamestop will likely be gone in 2021 due to digital sales.

I don't even use 5ghz wifi for any of my wireless needs. Not to mention your console should be plugged in anyway.
Yeah I honestly can't find a way to be excited about the wifi capabilities of a console. I don't have my systems plugged in and I never have an issue with connectivity due to that. Maybe I'm out of it, but I had no idea this was an issue that needed correcting.

A lot of people do not hardwire in. A lot of people have multiple things connected to WiFi in a household. Having better WiFi for the console means less interruptions. It’s a good thing even if it isn’t a major thing.

I’m so ready for this showcase. Maybe we’ll get some HZD forbidden west gameplay.

FF16 is all I want to see. Everything else will just be unexpected surprises for me. Obviously super stoked for HZD.

I try to keep as much as I can off WiFi.
My laptops are even plugged in, sometimes I even use the internet on my phones over USB-C if I'm sitting.
But, I'm also a psychopath.

All kidding aside, do we have any sense of which console will make games look better? Or are they so comparable that AAA games will likely be developed for the weaker machine?
Serious question.
Serious question.

The X Series
But what would you play on it?

Probably only Battlefield (if it ever recovers) and Warzone.

You should probably just buy what your friends are getting. If you want looks just build a rig. Otherwise the difference in graphics between the two console will not be super drastic. Though the Ps5 SSD is nice.

Wonder if we get a GoW sampler as well.

Why get what my friends get if everything is cross play? I just want my games to look nice. I'm thinking of sticking with Playstation but wanted a little feedback on both systems.

Let's start with the five main tenants that shaped the PlayStation 5's SSD:
Boots in a second
No load screens
Ultra high-speed streaming
De-duplicate game data
No long patch installs

6GHz eliminates the need to be plugged in. That's why it's so important for consoles where a large number of them are used via wifi.
Xbox not putting it in or any usb-c and just reusing the 2011 networking chip is pretty poor on their part.

Yeah. Really stupid considering the casual gamers out there.

There are 5 people in my house, and 2 of those are currently doing virtual school, and I never have a problem with connectivity to the wifi on my XBox One.

You are one person. Was playing warzone with the Brother in law over 5he weekend. Has 3 kids and their friends over plus wife. 12 devices connected.
Again you live in your bubble and that works for you.

Okay? Doesn't change what I said at all. Don't reuse 2011 tech when we've had major major advancements and your competition updates theirs. Little things add up.
Same with USB-C fast charging on PS5 but MIA on Xbox.

Is Xbox still using batteries in their controllers?
