PS4 Users - Have any of you been having trouble with games not updating while you're away?

It's been happening for about a year now, or maybe more. I've got all the correct settings set up, but it's still not updating until I start up the game. Here I am waiting for the Black Ops update to finish. This also happened with Fortnite updates from last year as well.

Mine does this sometimes. Sometimes it will download overnight and sometimes not. Not sure if there is any rhyme or reason.

Mine always downloads updates for games i’ve played somewhat recently.
If I haven’t played the game in a month or more it seems like I have to manually do it.

Your PS4 checks for updates at 3am. If the update comes out after your PS4 checks for updates then it won’t auto download until the next night.

This is what happens to me. If it falls off the "main screen" then it typically doesn't update unless I manually check for one.
