So last year I bought a Samsung 4K tv and apparently you can only run one HDMI input in 4K at a time. My question is if I run my pro through the Xbox and have the Xbox running to the back of my tv will my PS4 pro still play in 2160 HDR? Technically this should work right?

What is the problem? You can't play both on the TV at the same time. Did you really mean to say that only one HDMI input into the TV is 4K capable? If that is the case get an HDMI splitter and run both consoles into the same HDMI port through it.

I don't know about the Pro, but yes you can run a PS4 through an Xbox One. However, it will add tremendously to input lag while playing games on the PS4.

Yes that’s what I meant. Only hdmi one can out 4K and HDR. But I tried it last last night and it doesn’t output 4K when I run it through the Xbox one. Could you recommend a good splitter?

I think his TV only has one input for 4K/HDR but he has two consoles he wants to hook up.

Make sure any switcher you get is HDMI 2.0 compliant.

Ok what if I exchanged my old Xbox and instead of bringing my old hdmf with it they just took one out of the box. Would the Old hmdi work?

Check the labeling on your cord.

HDMI 1.0-1.2 has no 4k support.
HDMI 1.3 probably doesn’t support.
HDMI 1.4 probably does but isn’t guaranteed.
HDMI High Speed is guaranteed to support 4K.
