For me it's because i need a new phone
i buy a new phone every 2 years when my contract is up
my iphone 5 has a broke button on it and the battery needs to be replaced (only last 5-6 hrs now)

This one is big because it's a new phone completely. Not an "s" or "c" variant. I've had my iPhone 5 for almost two years. Like I've said before, I didn't realize I wanted a bigger screen until I picked up the G3. A 5.5" inch screen is huge but I don't wear skinny jeans so pockets aren't a problem.

FYI, apple has issued recalls on the sleep button and the battery for a lot of iphone 5's
my wife had her sleep button repaired not long ago for free

I get a new phone every year but that's because it's basically free.
My old Nexus 4 was $350 unlocked from Google, I sold it for $300 a week before the release of the Nexus 5 which was again $350. So $50 to upgrade my phone? Uhm yes.

We have an enginerd in here who wears the short sleeved oxford WITH A TIE! It's a fascinating species to observe in its natural habitat.
Speaking of games, I might actually plug in my PS4 tonight. Moving this weekend, too...no DirecTV for four months. I has a sad...but they suspended my account until I get my new house. Not bad, DTV.
