I found a nice little subdivision to build in for a great price. It'll be cheaper to build and own than it would to rent an apartment. It's insane how much rent is these days.

pro tip: When your builder starts to paint, make sure your paint is a good quality... We bought a house in one of their subdivisions and my only real complaint is the paint they used. Anything that touches a wall leaves some sort of mark, fingerprint, scuff, etc.

That's what happened in my house now. It's a subdivision for smaller homes, but I think that builder has a really good rep and I like their work around town.

theyre super easy to work with when shite goes wrong, like when a foundation stake through the top of you main sewer line keeps backing your terlets up

Ill be putting my house up for sale in about a month, then plan on renting a small apartment thats in the family for cheap for about a year, or until I feel comfortable with my cash to build

The only complaint I have right now is that they don't bend on customizing. It's this floorplan and that's it. I wanted wood throughout the kitchen and dining area, but they won't do it because of their warranty. Now, I can do it afterward (and I might because I fricking hate tile), but it's a PIA.
