I just bought The Show 14 for $20. Gift card and AMEX points.
Wes is going to tell me I misused my points shortly.

Eh
I have about 5 rewards cards that I use for points or cash back
Anything that I can pay for with credit gets put on one of them

if i added up all of the benefits or cash back that i receive, its probably about 2k or more a year, so its worth it I think

I don't know how many points, but it was worth $15 at Amazon so I was okay with it.

the difference is, and Wes can correct me if i'm wrong, but he doesn't use a debit card unless he has to do so. Everything goes on a credit card and he pays it off every month....right?

I tried that, but then I stopped caring. It's probably the way 90% of America does things, which I don't think is right, and Wes is better than all of us with money.

I try to use my debit card 10x a month because if I do, I get free ATM fees and a high interest rate on my checking account

its only as complicated as you make it
once you realize what you are missing out on, even using cash to buy something seems like you are wasting
there are lots of people, especially travelers, that use miles cards and transfer points to partners for bonuses, etc. etc.
my cards are simple to understand, but they may not be getting me the maximum return
i don't travel enough to warrant having many travel related rewards though
