PS4 Controllers

I need to replace the old one that I have been using and abusing for the last 2 years (was bought used). It’s developed a lot of drift, which is really tough to deal with in several games. Should I just buy a regular ps4 controller or are there 3rd party versions which I should consider?
Why are dualshock’s so expensive?

I've never had a lot of luck with 3rd part controllers but some people swear by them. Id just buy a new one. Ive had my PS4 for 7 years and only had to buy 1 additional controller (one that came with the ps4 started getting that drift about 4 years in).

Sometimes you can find a controller on sale for like $40-50. I guess some colors don’t sell well or something but I’ve bought white, gold and bright blue controllers at low prices. Not third party either and I’ve never paid full price.
I don’t care the color, I’d rather save 20-30 bucks instead.

Where do you buy yours from? Gamestop? Bestbuy? Wal-Mart? Amazon?
I want to make sure that if I shell out the money that I’m getting something real that will last a while, but also not pay unnecessary amounts for. I’m cheap AF.

Walmart or GameStop normally. Last controller I bought was Walmart 2 years ago for $50. Still working great

I had to buy a used one from GameStop a few months back the guy told me they weren’t selling ps4 controllers new anymore. Walmart didn’t have shite either.

Best bet might be amazon or gamestop used or refurb.
Saying the target in Metairie has 2 left.

I typically don't buy DualShock 4s from Amazon because they tend to commingle their inventory with third-party inventory and there are so many people selling knockoff controllers on Amazon (same issue with SD cards). Of course, Amazon has a great return policy, so you're not SOL, it's just a pain in the arse.
