I don't get the Harry Potter comparison to that genre. Yeah, they are wizards, but they don't sacrifice to dark lords for their powers or have names like Gragnok the Great. They're just kids who go to school to learn how to do all of that stuff.
I'm not into the fantasy genre at all really, but what draws me to the LOTR movies is the ideal of doing anything for your friends, even people who you wouldn't ordinarily call your friends. The Frodo and Sam relationship is really special if you have that kind of friend.

That's the painful thing about preseason. The excitement about football wears off by the second quarter when you realize no one good is playing. Especially the first and last game.
