I read that this morning and it's a shame I already had morning wood. Instead of having Reggie Bush counting about $16M against the cap, the Saints have Sproles, a special teams player in Amaya and a draft pick as well as $9M in cap space.
They also signed Shanle. Hopefully they can finalize a deal for Cullen Jenkins.

I'm not a Saints fan. So far, I admit they've made some very nice moves. Sproles is a cheap upgrade over Bush.

They said the Redskins are out of the Jenkins race. It's funny. Before I left to play softball last night, I had the impression that SP was saying "Sproles is good, but we aren't after him". At least that was the impression I got. Got home to see otherwise.
Now my main interest is when we sign the top picks. They are short on time to pick everything up as it is. Get them in camp. Although, from what I've read, rookie negotiations are going to be a snap now.

He's a quick back who has proven he knows how the RB position works in the NFL. Big upgrade in my opinion. We'll see, though.

All I know is that they probably don't care to have Sharper back. And, they were talking to Danieal Manning for SS, but he signed with the Texans last night. I haven't heard or read anything about any other safeties otherwise, so it looks like Harper.
The only thing about Harper is the contract Eric Weddle signed with San Deigo. I think it was 5 years, $40M. And Harper, wrong or right, is considered a better player. Don't know if the Saints want to go that high.
