Mine is not rooted but it may just be compatibility issue between Motorola products, but my friend was able to surf the web on his Xoom Pad from the bluetooth of my DX. It didn't have to be rooted.

Where you using an app to do that? If so which one? I know easytether has an option like this.

No. I just turned on my bluetooth and paired with his device and it allowed him to. This was when he had the original slide out Droid and his didn't do it so he wanted to see if mine did and it worked.

Holy Crap, nice! I have actually never tried that. I use EasyTether if I'm not doing wireless, and use Open Guarden for wireless (WiFi) tethering.

It worked for him. Not saying it will on everything and it may have just been because it was Moto vs Moto. He read that it should work so we tried it.
