It's so funny that year after year, we get excited over basically the same ineffective bunch of players, insisting that they will improve this year. Ellis is such a non factor, I keep forgetting he's on the team.

i just don't understand why the saints are different from any other team in the league. You're a goddamn professional football player and you don't know how to tackle??? Do we have that many primadonna's? Is it coaching? It's flat out ridiculous

And they seem married to slow, terrible defenders. The defensive line is awful, the linebackers are supposed to be upgrades but haven't showed up yet, and the safeties are slow. The corners can't catch.

I would be a little more patient with the defense. I'm sure it will take a little time for the new DC to fully implement his system. He had no problems a few years back with the Giants.

Patrick was out. We are in a bad way when our CB's are hurt, even one of them. And Spags' scheme is dependent on a front four pass rush. It ain't gonna happen with this group.
