didnt they say something about how the suppressor will no longer reduce damage?

They said the vertical recoil reduction bonus is bigger for the flash suppressor and it will not reduce accuracy like it used to.
They said the silencer will not reduce damage values, but it will do something to the range of the weapon.
I'm planning on using the heavy barrel more now.

i have used the heavy barrel and foregrip on just about all guns for a while now... i like the heavy barrel because i aim down sight WAAAYY more than i hip fire

And it's good for getting snipers or longer range shooting. After the initial vertical jump, it adds range to the weapon.
Plus, they reduced the vertical penalty for the patch. AND it gets that stupid arse laser off my gun.
