Because everyone else in the MAC that was in front of them had a sub-.500 record.

I'm not too thrilled about the top three teams in the BCS all being from the ACC.
ETA: I take that back, I see that FSU and Clemson are alone at the top now; Miami took a fall to #7. Still though.
