Looks like an absolute monster, I know most prefer your own builds, but I am not necessarily comfortable doing that on my own mixed with limited availability of components. Any glaring concerns with this beast of a machine?
Intel Core i9 10900KF 3.70GHz (5.30GHz Turbo Boost), 10-Core 20-Thread
ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 3090 24GB OC
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII FORMULA Z490, WiFi 6
ASUS ROG RYUJIN RGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler 360mm
ASUS ROG STRIX Helios GX601 White Edition RGB Mid-Tower
G.Skill TridentZ RGB 64GB DDR4 3600MHz
2TB Intel 660P M.2 NVMe SSD
CORSAIR RMx 850W 80 Plus Gold
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
VR Ready

That's my takeaway. The price tag shows that

Absurd. Please don't buy that

Why is that? Just overkill or a bad build?
Posted on 3/8/21 at 8:48 pm to Mizzoufan26
I have that ASUS 3090. Runs hot as frick. Make sure you have good case fans. The EVGA 3090 runs way cooler. Bigger back plate. I have both.

Yeah I’d go with the evga given the choice, seems like it will be out of stock in perpetuity though.
Reviews were good on the cooling

Seriously, build it yourself, way cheaper, and you won't pay for stuff you don't need.
Peeps on here will help you buy the best rig you want, and not just throw out top of line stuff, they will get you the best bang for buck, that's on par with top of line stuff.
I was afraid to build, said frick it, did a parts dealio and put the build on here, i changed 1 or 2 things after checking with their opinions and my rig is still going great, and i run it into the ground. I was able to put it together easily. I was scared of the thermal, and getting video card in, thermal, because i didnt want to frick it up(its way 2 easy to screw up), and video card, because they don't exactly fit right in like rest, you might have to work a little to get snug.

Eh, would rather pay for peace of mind, mixed with inability to acquire a lot of this shite right now.
With that said wanted insight as to if there were any glaring issues with this build

I mean tbf I have built a Pc and am very comfortable with it and will be buying a prebuilt if the card prices don’t come down
Posted on 3/9/21 at 3:41 pm to TigerBait2008
Being reluctant to build your own PC has nothing to do with being smart or not. Some people would rather just buy a monster of a machine and call it a day. There’s no shame in that.

I’m pretty much against pre builts but due to the scarcity of parts they are somewhat of a viable option compared to scalper prices.
Having said that this one is not like those, this is a pre built with scalper prices baked in. So you’re getting the worst of both. This thing is a ripoff for mostly mid level parts or older ones outside of the 3090.
Plus that case looks like it has minimal airflow, that bitch will be running hot.

Priced it all out on PCpartpicker and it comes out at Total: $4624.26
So 370 is what they are making on it for acquiring/assembling. I think you are a little off base in your assessment there.

Then buy it if you think it’s a good deal, a lot of those parts are overpriced and old

Wait what’s gonna be your use for it? Strictly gaming?

Exactly my question. What, exactly, is your usage case? Because I don't know many people who have any use for $500 worth of RAM, as an example.

Which leaves you... over $3,200 to buy, literally, whatever gpu you want. Or you could buy a 3090 for something resembling msrp and save like $1,500.
Or, hell, just buy a more reasonable prebuilt and probably still save a ton of money.

One I listed arrived late this week, zero issues with overheating. It’s an absolute dream

It's a full tower case with a 360 rad. The only way that overheats is if something is installed incorrectly

And for $5k, it had better run like a dream. The issue is that it would run pretty much exactly the same if you had paid $3k for a rig that made more sense

Others had said overheating would be a concern with the build in this thread. I appreciate your input
