I'm trolling because I'm stating that I was, for the most part, unimpressed? The graphics looked good, but that's about it.

This presentation was mildly impressive. I don't think Microsoft is worried at all.

I am in no hurry to get either one at this point. Sony didn't impress me tonight and Xbox will be home entertainment with gaming thrown in.

I will probably wind up with the Xbox for the entertainment stuff.

lol @ the sony fanboy, once Microsoft announces and shows footage of the 720 and Nintendo releases Zelda and SSB for the U, Sony will be shitting their pants.

I agree, but I like Sony's philosophy. They seem to be focused on the gamer and actual games.

Microsoft seems to be heading in the other direction.

They unveiled the controller, mentioned some hardware specifics (ram, x86 cpu architecture) and played up the Vita and social gaming some. But they showed off a bunch of games and kept the show centered around the games, which is what they should have done. A little bummed they didn't show off the console or release cpu/gpu specifics, but it's not like I'm going to have to make a purchasing decision any time soon.

If a PC had the specs of the Xbox 360, it wouldn't even be able to run Skyrim.

But the 360 does run Skyrim...

mind = blown

The almost guaranteed weaker console?

LOL.

Please. Half of the 720's ram is going to Kinect for gods sake.

Steve Ballmer may be a clown, but Microsoft is not stupid when it comes to Xbox. I predict they will present a total package that very much focuses on gaming.

Having kids will most likely put me in the 720 line just for the Kinect. Let's be real, MS has motion gaming locked down. BUT, the 720 will be in another room. I will have the PS4 in my room

Their recent decisions regarding the 360 suggest otherwise.

And Microsoft was "stupid" with Windows (8), so it's not at all out of the question that they would unintentionally apply that stupidity towards the Xbox.

The Watch Dog demo was shown via PC....

It was geared towards the PS4 specs though so take that FWIW

Awkward and mostly unimpressive. They would have been better suited waiting for E3. Still, it's premature to exclaim that it will be a failure; it won't be. However, Microsoft isn't quivering in their booties right now.

I think it is safe to say that this generation of consoles is setting up to be pretty underwhelming.
