I joined this one if y'all don't mind. I am terrible. I was pretty good at Rory on EA, but this game is kicking my arse.

I am really getting frustrated with the swing. I refuse to go down below pro because it's almost too easy. I have calibrated and no matter what my swing is trash.

I am in the same boat. Since I've gone up to pro, all my swings are considered fast. If I slow down, I go straight to the weird slice animation where the guy looks like he is going to fall down. I have no idea how to get a perfect swing.

Have you calibrated? It took me 5 attempts to find a tempo that was repeatable. I still struggle at times, but I went from struggling to get on the green in regulation to being on under most holes.

Just last night, I calibrated 3 times. I've pretty much resigned myself to aim right on every shot.

I have calibrated a few times. I have saw zero improvement from them. Like the other guy, I basically have to shot shape everything from the tee box to the green.

That sucks I wish I could give better advice, but it's literally how I went from negative handicap to positive.

The advice that I heard that really turned things around for me tempo wise was to "try to match the tempo if the golfer on the screen." Now I'll be honest, I don't even know exactly what that means or how I used it. But after I heard that I really started focusing on watching the golfer on the screen during my swing and my tempo feels money right now. Shot 5-under on Master difficulty at one of the Whiskey Resorts yesterday in what was by far my best round on the game. Meanwhile I shot 95 at Quail Hollow a few days ago. So I think eventually the swing will just "click" for y'all.

I do think that calibrating helps a good bit too once you have a consistent swing, but if your swing is all over the place when you calibrate it won't help at all. I kept redoing it until I came out of the calibration into the training and could hit a couple perfects right off the bat. Probably took half an hour. I don't know if it trained the game's swing to me or trained me to the game's swing, but it seemed to help some. But not as much as focusing on the golfer and trying to match his tempo.

This actually encompasses my path to finding a swing better than I was able to say it. Instead of following the golfer, I used the swing bar and tried finding a song to play in my mind (life long drummer, can't help but use music as a tool) that matched the rhythm of the swing I was seeking.

Using shot shaping makes your zones to aim in even smaller tho
