Sorry about last night. After I ate, I laid down on the couch and fell asleep. My bad, bruf.

I spent the evening case shopping. No big deal.

I think I like the haf 912. Want to stick around the 60ish price range.

If you can bump that up to $100 you'll have some much better options. Cases are one of those things that don't seem like they matter a lot, but when adding new things or wanting more space for cable management you'll really regret cheaping out on your case.
Awesome case for you.

You haven't regretted cheaping out on your life so I'm sure I'll be fine.

HAF 912 ain't bad. I had the taller, sexier version of it (HAF 932). It's pretty basic, but sturdy and easy to add/remove stuff.

I've just used a lot of different cases, mostly back when I did builds for customers more often. I'd let them choose a case (with compatibility parameters). There have been quite a few that have surprised me -- cheap ones with good build quality, and expensive ones that were horrible to work with. Like this Antec 900: LINK
If you sort mid-towers by rating at newegg, it's at the top, but I'm guessing it's because that case has been around for what seems like a decade, and the masses flock to Antec because once upon a time they were the best for cases and power supplies. For a $100 case, it has some serious annoyances that you wouldn't even see in some $40 cases. For one, it has a gray steel interior paired with a black exterior (fine for an OEM-style case, but not for one with LEDs and an acrylic window). Also, little to no space behind the motherboard tray for wire management, and front-to-back style 3.5" bays in which you have to be careful where you mount the HDDs or else a full-size graphics card won't fit.

All Antec cases look like they're from 2002.
