I hope I can do this here, with 1K to build what is best for the ar-15 build?

I like this look, but know the scope can come later. I want a forward hand grip and a short barrel for my first build. What bore would you suggest? If these questions seem absurd it's because I am a noob at this.

Well that's a good starting point. Do you want a good general do just about everything rifle? Do youwant the quad rail or the slick side modular rail (keymod)? Do you want a variable scope or the red dot with magnifier? If your doing short barrel (sub 16") your going to need to form a trust (minimum $300) and get a $200 tax stamp which could take 6 months. The rifle in your picture looks like a 14.5" barreled rifle with a pinned flash hider making it 16".
