$650 with hours to go. They will hit right at $1000 I bet. There is also an 8% buyers premium on them you have to pay.

It's only an hour left, but I wouldn't be surprised if they went from 1200-1400 since they're refurbs.

An hour thirty left and that site adds 15 minutes to the auction every time someone bids at the last minute which is when everyone blows their load.

But once you do go with 1440p, you may want to up the power to run games at max settings just to experience the awesomeness of that resolution.
Main reason I am considering it. Would I have notable temp changes with 2 7870's?

Speaking of insane resolutions, anyone have experience with the Korean 1600p monitors?
Right now I have my 27" 1440, and next to it is a 27" ASUS 1080p (I use this PC for work as well and require two monitors). Thinking about going with a 30" 1600p, keeping the 1440p as secondary, and selling the 1080p (which is in great condition, by the way, for anyone interested).

Aw it does that shite? I haven't kept track of auctions that low

Yep. It may not on every auction but it did it to me on the one auction I bought and a few others I bid on. I gave up on it all after that. That's why I said that site isn't as great as I initially thought.

In general, yes, but to what degree will depend on your setup. There are GPU coolers that do a better job than others in blowing that hot air out of your case. Having good cable management and a case with excellent airflow will help, too. Overclocking is also a major factor. If you have a normal midtower and only mild overclocks with no voltage changes, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Lots of people do SLI in mid-towers.

I just bid on an auction with a few seconds left and it didn't go back to any time. I guess Its an auction by auction thing

I didn't win the dells... I didn't have that money to shell out by myself
I won a lot of like 1000 iphone/ipad and android shite

You think you can make money off of that stuff in a timely manner? Seems like a lot of headache selling and shipping tons of little shite for small returns.

Selling most of it local for $5/piece and online for $6-10. Its all new in packaging so that will help more with selling.
If I can sell everything for a dollar I'll double up. I'm not expecting to sell everything over the course of a month. I'll likely be selling for the next 3-4 months. I've been getting tons of requests from people to start selling these so they don't have to go through online retailers to get them. I can probably break even after 100 pieces (200 at most).

My overclock for my gpu is mild because it wouldn't take much more so that shouldn't be an issue

Have any of you guys seen this? I was under the impression IB-E was getting a new chipset(X99) and we would have Broadwell next year.
The early rumors might be true of a 6core Haswell; but that is for next year's refresh.
Mid-Towers are full towers and full towers are XL full towers today.
You should be good with a mid-tower case. Like LSU said, if you aren't added much more voltage your stock coolers should handle the load.

So haswell-E would be 6 core?
When you oc dual gpu's do you do them together or one at a time?

Okay let us back track. The "true enthusiast/extreme edition" lines are all 6cores already.
Okay.
The rumor mill has been saying since last year that Haswell(1150) could be 6core. That isnt the case obviously but it may certainly be true if next year we get a "Haswell Refresh" (1150) and it is 6cores.
Also, Haswell-E is rumored to jump from IB-E 6cores to 8cores in Haswell-E.

They are in sync and whatever program you use will keep them in sync when you OC. The only thing you would adjust independently are voltages, which you probably wont need to increase.

So with you all's advice and a little more thought I have made another build, I tried to leave myself in good position for upgrades, while still being able to rock games in the meantime as well as see what I think about a amd radeon card as opposed to a nvidia.
I stuck with 2011 socket bc I would like to stretch out the mobo as long as possible.
I dropped the cpu investment down and went with one 7970 to compensate. This way I can go a few different ways with this build:
-Start buying more 7970's and then a new cpu and save major overhaul with liquid loop until like 14-20 mo's.
-Sell 7970 and buy two new cards and a liquid loop at like 8 mo's as well as perhaps a cpu upgrade.
Main questions:
-I know nvidia brands better than radeon. I see you all suggest sapphire alot, is that like the EVGA of the radeon world?
-I don't know much about the liquid cooling world yet; how much wattage can I expect a loop to cost me? Is this psu gonna be able to stay with me through that upgrade
-OS, I have no experience with windows 8. What are you guys rolling with these days?
