I need a router. ASUS AC68U, Netgear Nighthawk, or something else? I'm not even here to debate shite this time, just tell me what I should buy people.

People have really been hating on the way Linksys sets up their router access now. Lots of "smart" features, but apparently you need an internet connection to access your own god damn router with their new firmware. Seems to have fared well in signal tests alongside the netgear and asus though. I think any of those three would be fine.

yep, I set one up for a friend the other day, and that was a huge pain in the arse due to my methodology of setting up the router before ever allowing it to connect to the modem. It could make trouble shooting a pain in the arse too. Other than that, it's a very nice router.
