It's almost as ridiculous as this. Asus Ares II. Dual 7970 chips. $1500
Actually I think no, because a loop and 2x7970 at the time cost around 1500.
2x760 isnt even 780 performance and it cost more.
EDT: ...but yes it was dumb, because anyone spending that amount of money would do it right with a custom job.

exactly. They did only make like 1000 of them or something, so I guess it's kinda cool to have such a limited production product.

A really good 750 at the very less but I recommend just purchasing an 850.

WD Hybrid Blacks are also getting great reviews. Great HTPC and laptop hard drives.

I think the time has come to gut my PC and start all over with a fresh build. Might even get crazy and switch to an Nvidia and Intel build.
ETA: I just remembered Nvidia has a refresh coming in March? Maybe I should wait until then?

No AMD CPU looks interesting to me right now and Bitcoins has made their cards lose their price for performance advantage.

No, I know exactly how you feel. At least about the CPU side of it.

Intel... nothing compares.
Hopefully nVidia will have Maxwell ready for you in 3-4months Stout.

This board has been slow....
This is probably the slowest and deadist I have experienced with this board. This time last year ppl started building PCs for the first time and a lot of XBONE/PS4 battles started to wage. Now, well we are looking to fill up the first page with current posts.
Switched our foyer table's picture with Walt, I love it but GF doesn't agree.

For those interested in APUs, Kaveri has finally launched and listed online.
This APU will have the same graphically power as a 7770 and 7850 when OC'd. Hopefully it will perform almost the same as a dedicated GPU but with a DD3 bottleneck.
AMD A10-7850K APU - $189
EDT:
Tigerdirect actually has them for $10 cheaper.

I believe The top end R7s because of the DDR3 memory, i'm really unsure. Dont waste time CFxing it, keep it a beautiful SFF build!

When using an asrock mobo, if nothing shows up after flashing different codes, and it stays off, is everything good with the board?
Posted on 1/14/14 at 12:03 pm to Mikebandit
During startup for any board it will flash codes as it boots up different hardware.
Everything gets power at the same time but isnt turned on or gets the power that is needed for operation, this is why you see codes cycled before boot.
