Definitely litecoin mania. It happened a year ago when Bitcoin prices skyrocketed. It becomes profitable to mine for a month until the difficulty goes up to compensate. There will be tons of AMD cards on ebay in the next few months, so anyone looking to upgrade for actual gaming ought to keep an eye out for them. Right now, people are trying to sell cards for profit.

That computer it was in was weird. It had 2x1GB sticks of memory and 2x512MB for a total of 3GB. Just a funky set up. That was factory too from HP. It also had 2 320GB HDDs instead of just one big HDD. Again, that was factory. I took it out of the case and threw that junk away. Kept the beastly powerful 300W PSU though.
ETA: That MOBO probably wouldn't support too much as far as a GPU goes. Probably be better getting a cheap AM3 board for it.

I'm keeping the HDDs for my media center. I do have two 160GB HDDs I can sell you. Found them in some DVRs in a house
