Hm link didnt't work... Did you contact the seller first? It's usually much easier doing that first than going straight to a case
Posted on 5/10/13 at 2:05 pm to bluebarracuda
sent him a message then opened a case. Just wanted to make sure this went through the proper channels as he has a 14 day return policy from receipt of the item.
it's actually funny that i found this subreddit. I'm starting to feel a bit better.

Has this been posted yet? I know it's a few days old, but I didn't see a thread on it. LINK

I'm too old, grumpy and pretentious to find anything associated with that rapper... ammussing.

Ive been able to squeeze an extra 600 points out of my dinky 13-2100/HD6850 rig on 3D mark up to a bit over 4100 pts by playing with the CCC overdrive settings.
when it was an phenom II X4 B50 and HD6850 stock the score was 3500 and when i switched it over to the i3 it was only 8 pts higher @ stock.
i need this kid to come by the old rig so i can justify buying a new graphics card.

I think my fricking PSU bit the dust today. Always good when that happens to a 5 month old PSU. My power blinked several times today due to the weather and then I lost power for about an hour and now my PC won't turn on. I even smelled a hint of something electrical burning today but it never clicked to me what it might be.
I have my old PSU still that I will hook up tomorrow and see if that's it.
Man, I hate to have to send this thing in for a warranty claim if that is what's wrong.
This is my PSU. I just hope it didn't damage anything else.

might just be a failsafe.
you unplug it entirely from the wall?
flip the switch from 110 to 220 back to 110?
hold the power button down to clear any charge
replug the psu back up to the wall and try it?
and then theres the Paperclip trick.
I have to do the above anytime I lose power when my computer is on fwiw

I tried everything already except jumping it. I am going to get my voltage tester out tomorrow and figure it out. If it wouldn't have been for me smelling electrical burn I would be a little more puzzled but I am fairly certain it's fried. Just weird that nothing else on that surge protector got messed up. My monitors and laptop are all good.

Good luck with that Stout. I always try to unplug things during bad weather but sometimes I don't get the chance.

I do/did. Not sure what failed.

That PSU shouldn't have failed that soon. Those are pretty decent ones.
But I did play Gotham city impostors last night. Game is still loads of fun. I was either in a very easy lobby or I'm pretty good because I went like 75-10 in 3 games. The BB machine gun is so OP

I have had bad PSUs before but they were cheap.
Saying this, I just opened a ticket Wednesday with Corsair. My AX1200i is failing, along with "coil whine" and a "chirping" sound. Hopefully I can get a full RMA with just shipping cost.

Well I fixed my PC.
Y'all will never believe what it was. My USB panel on the front of my case shorted out. That's not unusual I guess but the reason why is.
That's where I usually plug my mouse up but both USB ports on the front of my case have recently been destroyed from my puppy getting tangled up in the mouse wire.
He bent one a few weeks back and the other this week. I had to bend my USB male end of my mouse back and use the USB ports on the back of my case. Guess something in the front ports finally grounded out and that's what I smelled yesterday. I unplugged it from my MOBO and my PC is alive and kicking.

It's sort of my fault for being lazy and not building my desk yet. I have been using an old desk but the PC area is too low to the ground and I hate it. I am building a desk this week. I have been putting it off because I have been trying to come up with a good set up for this room and for gaming purposes. I finally have an idea.

yeah that works for a dog. i could put my tower on the roof and one of these cats would find a way to get to it. in fact, the kittens got on my neighbor's roof the other day. little terrorist bastards.
