Can you generally game at max settings at 1440 with a 7970?

What kind of settings are you looking at? High settings without AA/ambiant occlusiob/motion blur is around 70fps.

That's about where I'm at with a single card with a mix of ultra/high/ no AA with a single card at 1100/1400. It hasn't dipped below 60 since I installed the 13.10beta2 drivers.

Newer, demanding titles, you can expect high-ultra settings without hardware-based antialiasing using a single 7970 -- it really depends on the game, though. With Crysis 3, I can't even use AA with two overclocked 7970s. It's playable with some mild AA, but I always want to get 60+ fps consistently.

Any idea why I would only getting 60-70% usage with a single card? Doesn't make any goddamn sense.

That's perfect. So I can probably expect around 80 with a 7970. Will probably wait for the new cards then

Yeah. I saw you make an offer for that benq on HS. Woot had refurbed ones for 220 last week. That benq had the same panel(I think it's made by LG, could be Samsung) as my Asus has in it and I'm loving it.

I don't have to get 60 fps. I do like it to stay in the 50's though when it dips. Crysis is the gold standard for lesser performance though
