I've got a Swiftech MCP35X ordered, but now I have to figure out where I'm going to mount it. One complaint I have about the 900D is that there are no obvious mounting points for a pump or reservoir. I may actually decouple the pump by suspending it in midair with the tubing.

I'm am fricking pumped for mantle now that I watched a couple if things about it. Utilization of all cores is going to be awesome for bf4.

AMD has come a long way in a short period? Hell no, sorry. It has been this way since the 69XX days. It is about time I would say.

It is just like nVidia ignoring multi monitor profiles. Both have their faults and both are taking forever to fix problems in some areas.

i was referring to the last few months really. They have done a great job addressing the crossfire issues recently. Perhaps they should have jumped on it earlier but right now it is getting done.

Well no one really knew exactly how bad it was until Ryan Shrout from pcper figured out that testing for frame time relevant. Once he found out that a large majority of frames in crossfire were practically meaningless and published it then it really put AMDs feet to the fire. That happened in January and a more in depth one in march

That seems to be what I read too. AMD didn't believe they had a problem. Once they realized it, they started working on it. You can argue that they should have known but either way they are fixing it now.

I watch his podcast on their YouTube channel and he basically rants about AMD. He said that he let them know in advance that they had a problem and showed them the data to back up his statement. They apparently went into deny mode until he published it. He wasn't going to publish it if they fixed it immediately but since they didn't he decided to put the screws to them so that their customers would know that they were being screwed. The real problem with crossfire is that it is a driver solution where as nvidia SLI is at the hardware level.

I dont want to sound like more of a homer. Really I purchase both platforms.

Maxwell with have the same API to but wont use available GPU cores. The thing should have a small ARM based SoC to not use needed cores for rendering.

I'm just mostly pissed at AMD taking soo long with this allowing nVidia to sit on their hands and feed us a lesser Titan in 780s. We should of had this technology earlier.

I don't see much problems with nVidia SLi. It is the same software dependent task as AMD's CFx.

I'm talking about multi monitor profiles/support on nVidia cards have always been terrible. Now that is a hardware and software problem.

Since Xfire is on the mind, anyone see that the R9 290X wont have a crossfire bridge?

Yeah, but I don't mind a bridge. I hope it doesnt further complicate things for them.

That's what I was saying. Nvidia Sli technology is integrated into the hardware from the get go. It isn't completely dependent on its drivers for stability.

What tools and/or chemicals did you use to remove the alphacool logos from the rads? I might mount them in a different direction so I need to remove the other logos without scratching the rad too severely.

EDIT: Nevermind. It was easier than I thought. Just a razor and some iso did the trick.
