lucky for you I have an 850 w seasonic!
That probably wouldn't be quite enough, or cutting it close. In the meantime, I'm using a Cougar CMX 1000W.

Aren't you going to wait and see what the new AMD cards are all about?
I have over $300 in free Amazon credit just sitting there from misc stuff and I came so close to ordering this but I just want to wait until the new line drops to see a few things. I want to see the new cards performance and price and I want to see what they do to the current cards pricing.

is it possible that they will do something along the line with Phys X to finally give NVIDIA competition in that sector of cards?

I doubt I'll wait... don't have the patience and I just can't see them making the price of the 9970 low enough to warrant buying it over 7970

Well I also want to see how their cards stack up against the new Nvidia cards. Particularly the 780. I just don't want to buy a 7990 and it loses value too fast but at $600 for one that might not even be a concern.
What all do you have left to sell? I need a few parts to finish these 4 PCs I am building.

I have basically a full build I'm trying to sell on craigslist to get the 7990.

I personally doubt it. They are using different technologies but none that have been specific to them only. That doesn't seem to be what they believe in and it may have something to do with openGL but that's above my knowledge.

Ahhh...nevermind. I was wondering if you still had that stuff for $80 from the other day. Just checking before I ordered stuff today. I am about to have 4 builds to sell. Maybe 5 if I throw mine in.
Did you ship my stuff out?
You and Bruce are killing me. Poncho is the only one of you 3 that someone can rely on to actually ship shite out.

Yea I got it shipped yesterday. I had to do a programming assignment that was due thursday night and my PC is the only computer I own.

I shipped your stuff 2 days ago. It'll be there on Monday.

Just grabbed this at the louisiana surplus auction today
30" Apple cinema hd display for only $100. I just dont know if it works though because apple has their bullshite proprietary power bricks that I have to buy.

I almost went to that auction today.
I always get the emails but never go. I need to start going to them and buy some shite.
In 3 days I am buying a pallet of printers and a pallet of monitors from a LA auction for a local parish and if it goes like it's been going I will get each for like $10.
Did you have anyone bidding against you?

Tom's did a blind test between 690 and 7990 to see which had a perceived smoother experience. This was done after the new AMD drivers:
