In that old monitor over clocking thread you posted a link that program that can do it, and I used that.

I was wondering if you found an alternative way. Mine only went to 66. I never tried that patch that they said let's you go past a certain point. I was worried it would stress my monitor for too little gain.

What connection are you using to your monitor (dual link DVI, HDMI, etc)?

Any suggestions on what I should do when I install the SSD that I havent bought yet?
Reinstall windows on it?
or
Put game files on it?

Clean install for sure. Your biggest speed gains with an ssd are going to come from having OS files on an ssd. Only games that are going to see gains from an ssd are those with prolonged loading screens.

Picked up a GTX 680 4GB from a cat in Hammond. Wasn't impressed with it for what it costs. Slung it and got a pair of 7950s to crossfire for about the same money. Much better experience so far.

He has a custom WC loop, so delidding isn't necessary.

He could probably get away with lower voltages and probably push 5.0+

5.0 isn't really silly if your chip isn't leaky. I think my chip is just decent so I don't have that much leakage. So this means the shitty TIM doesnt affect me as much.

Why is the TIM/IHS on Ivy Bridge so shitty? I've read that in multiple places. Reminds me of when AMD first started doing it on their athlons. People popped that shite right off.
Hopefully Haswell will not have that issue.

Yea not soldered for some reason. Haswell and IB-E are both soldered; believe it is confirmed.
