660 ti memory
My point is this, in this article they run different tests at different settings that use more memory than others. As they up the settings the 2gb and 3gb don't perform differently and other card actually start to perform better. If the memory causes a handicap on this card beyond 2gb then why get the 3gb? Even if games start using more memory, this test would lead you to believe that the 660 ti can't make use of that memory. I understand this is one test and there may be others saying different. Am I missing something here?

That was the first computer forum I joined, back in 2004. I still post there but mostly talk to a few friends outside the forum. It was one of the top forums back in the days of old-school watercooling, but activity has declined a lot. I think the mods had a lot to do with it. One of the strictest forums out there, lots of censorship, infraction system, 1-day bans, forum restrictions, far too many sub-forums that overlapped, etc.
I need to join OCN. I can't even count the number of threads I've read through on that site, just from googling.

Yes it won't make use of the memory alone but will in SLi.
That is what I said in my post. He is looking for future proofing so I said purchase a 3GB version of whatever you buy and to SLi the card latter to make up for performance. I know it wont effectively make use of the memory.

Whoa, that's interesting. I was running a trainer while we were playing, but I didn't think it would affect your gameplay at all, other than the cheat that makes enemies have less health.

I also have a Black EK 2 way SLi bridge for you. I never used it, just bought it... so if you go with EK blocks for those 7970s.. dont purchase a bridge.

Awesome, thanks. I didn't even realize that these blocks are two-holed instead of four. What size is the bridge?
EDIT: Strike that. Sidewinder has the heatkiller back in stock! I'm glad I waited to order the blocks.

I was messing with you. I don't really care how bad people cheat on single player games. It's the multi player hacks that I find cheesy.

If I recall correctly, he had crossfired 7950s that were gigabyte or sapphire or some other brand that's notorious for using non-reference PCBs and locking voltage. He's trading those frickers out for some Twin Frozr 7950s, which use the reference PCB and are not locked.

All of this is correct except they are 7950s, not 6950s
