there are plenty of openings at all levels, so you should be ok. the downward pressure would probably be localized to the same "tier" of positions on the national level. i assume a lot of these are in the DC area so that market might suck as a job seeker for a while.

I was looking at that MSI and that ASRock above it. Don't see much difference for $30.

Your link takes me to an AMD chip, no motherboards.
But yeah, the MSI and ASrock are similar. It looks like the only big difference is another miniPCI.

Yea that's the only AMD chip that is FM2 that isn't an APU which is what I was saying. They have no Mini ITX that supports AM3+ and the only Mini ITX for AMD you can find are FM2 or older FM1 boards.
Intel might be the only option if I go through with it. I would also need to seel my 7970 for space reasons. Would need to go 770 or higher as I think it would fit.

To be fair that was with premium which is usually $30 and the cheapest it goes on sale is $15 so you got a good deal.
