Also have you googled the problem? I had an issue with a logitech kb/m setup and it turns out another driver I had installed was conflicting with it and it was a common problem.

The only thing that came with my KB/M was a CD labeled "Logitech G-Series Key Profiler" (or something to that effect)
I received my mouse in a bag with weights (I didn't know this was a thing) and my PSU. I didn't have a box with it.

Yea install that shiz or go to Logitech's website and download the latest drivers

Then do the same for you mouse if that software doesn't automatically recognize it.

Did you mess with the drivers on your pc? It may just need to install the drivers.
Despite the drivers, the mouse should work and initialize at startup and he should be able to use it in his bios. I own one, so this isn't just a theory.
The only thing the drivers do is allow him to change more settings on it (macros, DPI levels, etc).He probably plugged it into his work computer and it worked immediately. The same happened with his laptop. Then suddenly it stopped.
Lew, when you get home with a working mouse, here's what I want you to do:
1. Power off your PC.
2. Connect both the G500 and your mouse from work.
3. Power on PC and go to bios to verify that the mouse you got from work is actually initializing before windows boots.
4. Boot to Windows. Assuming the G500 still isn't working, use the work mouse to uninstall any and all logitech driver software you've installed. Then go to logitech's site and install the latest version of "Logitech Gaming Software" instead of using the CD. It's the single program that will control both the mouse and keyboard and replaces SetPoint for gaming peripherals. LINK
5. Let it do its thing. If G500 is not working, try the other USB ports (give it about 10 seconds or more before unplugging from each one).
6. If G500 is still being a bitch, get rid of it.
But like I said. The fricker should work with legacy USB support. This ain't Windows 98.

It should but it isn't. My experience with my issue above is why I mentioned the drivers.

Ha, that's an understatement. The earlier versions of setpoint were total garbage.
I wonder if they ever fixed that funny quirk where you can't close iTunes without terminating the process if you had setpoint running. Remove all traces of whatever you installed from that disk. Posted a link to the software in my last post.

What games do you have so far?
Posted on 8/7/13 at 10:56 am to LewDawg
Lew this is what I want you to do when you get home.
1.) Fix your shite
2.) Install BF3
3.) install Skype
4.) Let me laugh at your kb/m skills

Zero. Can I buy some at work and they just be in my account to download later once I install Steam?

Yes you can. I DLed the steam app and wore it out during steam sale.
Any games interest you?

If you leave your pc logged into steam, you can use the app to have it download too

What type of game do you want? My graphics card came with tomb raider so that was the first I played. The graphics blew me away.

I like open world stuff. I'm getting Skyrim, but I'd like to get some games that aren't $60.
I like FPS sparingly, RPGs, adventure, hell I'll snag an Indie game if it appeals to me. Now that I'm on the spot, I don't know what I like.
I'm getting BF3 and Skyrim for sure.
I have Fallout 3 and NV
All Assassin's Creeds
GTA
Skyrim
COD
God of War
Red Dead
MGS4
Etc

Well this year tomb raider was a good game with great visuals. Bioshock was really good too with great art and those shouldn't be $60 right now.
