I don't know what you're playing, but if it's something new and pretty, 4k at 144hz is a big ask of any gpu currently in existence. Hell, probably any gpu from next gen as well

I'm lucky to have 2 Microcenters nearby and they want $300 for a 1050 Ti.

Amazon officially listing the i5-12600K for pre-order...

For a price of $342.50

So much for competing with the 5600x, which has been going down to $270 routinely now.

Just bought a new house and I'll finally get my setup back to where I want it. Been a pain in the arse to find a 2u server case that'll work with my setup though.

May have to custom loop the 9900k with some 80mm rads, try and find some quiet yet effective fans, and pray

If I'm going to do it, I would likely do hard tubing, because yolo. But the whole concept of having to drain and clean and refill the damned thing sounds awful.

AMD's new Radeon RX 7900 XT detailed in new leaks: Navi 31 GPU on 5nm + 6nm TSMC, 32GB GDDR6, 3D Infinity Cache, RDNA 3 monster.

Jesus, I guess MCM is a pretty damn big deal holy frick.

quote:

AMD's next-gen RDNA 3 architecture will power the new Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs with the new Navi 31-based GPU being a monster MCM (multi-chip module) design that will see Team Red take a huge leap over Team Green.

AMD's new flagship Navi 31 GPU will have WGPs (Work Group Processors) that will see the end of CUs (Compute Units) with RDNA 3 and the MCM-based GPUs. Navi 31 will have 2 x IPs: the GCD (Graphics Core Die) which will be made on TSMC's new 5nm process, as well as an MCD (Multi-Cache Die) which is made on TSMC's new 6nm process node. We've heard recently that AMD had taped out its new Navi 31 MCM GPU die.

We should see GPU clocks of around 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz which should spit out a gigantic 75 TFLOPs of FP32 compute performance, which compared to the flagship Navi 21-based Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card is a huge 226% performance improvement.

Yes, Navi 31 -- which should be the Radeon RX 7900 XT -- is 226% faster than AMD's fastest RDNA 2-based Radeon RX 6900 XT.

Think I may cash out my AMD stock I've held since $3/share finally. $155/s currently.

Hard to sell and pass up $200/s+ though with the future as strong as ever right now on all fronts for Team Red.

Just slaying the data center market and supercomputers. That Facebook aka Meta server win a few weeks ago was a huge win and sent the stock soaring. 200-250/s year from now is very possible. But also been holding forever so idk. Maybe partial profit take again.

And ya AMD leads the way with 65% growth rate this year followed by MediaTek and NVIDIA with growth rates of 60% and 54%. Those main 3 did well for sure.

Intel? Negative growth rate -1%.

You're hearing similar numbers about Nvidia Lovelace. My concern is that both of them are getting a little too excited about the upcoming PCIe 5 power spec and are going a little crazy...

I'm not particularly concerned about the ability to cool cards with 500w power draws, but I am concerned about our reaching the point in which computers dump so much heat into a room that it becomes uncomfortable to session game without the fan on and the door open.

Only thing I've heard about Nvidia is their MCM gpu was delayed. That's Hopper not Lovelace.
