I impulse bought the Katana MKII 100watt head today. Probably to start returbing my 1960a Marshall cab in a few weeks.
You need to stop being soo BIAS towards your TUBES.

I haven't touched mine in a year...there are some fantastic riffs in the new Tool album I want to learn.
Probably going to start playing again.

The SO asked me if TOOL was a popular band the day NO show tickets went on sale. Her Facebook or ppl at school, in her words "went crazy".
Tried to explain to her how their music applies to all white men. I just confused her and myself.
The SO was shocked that I wanted to go, she knows I like terrible music. I'm not certain if she actually believed me that TOOL is a good band.
Edt: Our first-ish concert together was Cults. Which, yes, I do enjoy some time. I know they aren't Pastel Ghost or my favorite genre witch house, but what can I say, I like bad music.

You get tickets?
No, I don't enjoy "arenas".
Even hate when my favorite groups perform on the large main stage at festivals. Maybe not that far, but rather a more "intimate" setting, for lack of a better word.
However, when it gets closer I will most likely just grab some off of Stubhub, etc.
Edt: I have a friend that only listens to TOOL. He is not into podcasts or audibles, just TOOL in the truck. Dude was listening to the same 3 albums since college until his wife left him.
Now he throws in a little Nine Inch Nails to "feel".

Did you watch Linus recent video fibering his whole to a single PC?
Watching it now.
IDK why, but the video is stressing me out.
I love the idea, I've dreamed of something similar since Steam In-Home Streaming. But man, what a stressful setup in the current state.

It is $22 on Amazon ATM. Don't have to make a trip! Edt: Well might be worth for keyboard. Is it the older "non-Lightspeed" model? I mean, who cares for $60 bucks. That is a nice keyboard for working on PCs, etc. It doesn't take a ton of desk space. Is this it? LINK
Yep

Kinda the same. That's why I bought something pretty cheap to mess around with. New gear is the best motivator. The new JCM800 Studio is made in the UK, instead of Vietnam like the DSLs and it's only $1300. I might pull the trigger on that if I see one on sale in a few months.

My hands are so out of shape. I couldn't write a riff if my life depended on it right now. I have plenty of toys, just no motivation.

Sounds like you need to do some fingering exercises.

My goodness laptops are going to get interesting next year. I would bet this thing has a few more CU for GPU too. Or maybe make a Ryzen 9 with more CUs.
H series leaked today.
quote:
Just yesterday we covered a leak from Reddit, where AMD’s first 8-core mobile CPU has been spotted in the 3DMark database. Today we are learning that AMD is not stopping at the low-power U-Series, but the manufacturer is also making a big push in the high-performance mobile market with the H-series.
According to Wccftech, who are quoting Mobile01 forums, AMD is set to launch 8-core and 16-thread Ryzen 9 4900H and Ryzen 7 4800H high-performance mobile CPUs soon. This is an upgrade over the Ryzen 7 4700U part we covered yesterday, as the H series have SMT (multi-threading) enabled. The Ryzen 4000 series H-processors are said to be 45W parts, competing directly with Intel’s 9th Gen Core H-series.

After so long between action, performing with someone else, can't imagine the release!

I really wish Intel didn't change their naming systems. They mix and matched all the Ks, HKs, Hs and Us.
They even pulled a Spinal Tap and made CPUs that go up to 11.
The i9 is an i7. They didn't raise the bar, just extended the curve.

Anyone else have a dedicated soundcard? I have had a $40 Asus Xonar DGX for the past 3 or 4 years because my old motherboard's audio just didn't work. I've never really appreciated it until now. I was just messing around comparing the difference between it and the onboard realtek. The realtek is just so flat sounding. I shouldn't be surprised, but I kinda am. Buy yourselves a soundcard boys.
