Gaming on your screen sounds like a nightmare
Not at all (for me), I dont play FPS or anything requiring twitch reactions or crap like that so high refresh rate adds nothing for me. I have a 120hz 24" screen I also work on but in general gaming on the 120" projector is way way better for the pure immersion aspect, think large strategy games like Total War series. The only negative is limited at 1080p, but will be upgrading that to 4k not too distant future which will really be nice from a sharpness point of view. I sit anywhere from about 6-12 feet back from it depending where I want to be that day
I completely get high refresh rate for most gamers, but I just dont play those types of games where it really matters all that much. I'd much rather the pure immersion over smoothness in what I play.

Same. Logan is such a fricking try hard douche.

I sit in different places, sometimes on a chaise of sectional and sometimes in a gigantic sac bean bag like one of these:
Use a solid piece as a base for my keyboard/mouse. Very comfy gaming to say the least
And yes, would never work again for quick twitch/reaction based games really.

Not necessarily. If your PC is working fine, no reason to update the BIOS. Think “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it”.

Pulled the trigger on a Note 10+.

So, has the price of gaming computers come down since the bitcoin mining craze has slowed?

Yes, but we are expected to hit another one around mid 2020-2021.
Whatever time they expect the next doubling.

I just got a blade stealth and so far I really like it. I'm contemplating using it as my daily driver laptop and then whenever I need to, hook it up to an external enclosure to use as my htpc.
Only problem is the Razer Core X Chroma is like $400. I spent less than that on my current HTPC with an 8500 and GTX 1070

Yeah that is a main reason I went Dell for my gaming laptop. Use a 3rd party solution

I'm looking at some 3rd party ones, but I love how the Core chroma has a built in hub with ethernet and extra USBs

It is a "nicer" solution.
