Let me rephrase...I want to upgrade but will wait until early next year lol

I really want to wait until the next nvidia series releases. Then I'll upgrade mobo, cpu, gpu, and ram.

Can't imagine what the next rounds of GPUs will bring.

I'm currently running AC: Orgins on Ultra setting with limited AA on my laptop w/ GTX 1060. Yes it is only @ 1080 but still impressive. Back home the AC: Origins is no problem hitting 90 with everything turned up even AA @ 2160 w/ 2 x GTX TITAN X(Pascals).

For 1440, the mid-range cards won't have an issue next gen. It is better IMO for GPU tech to be ahead of the software and monitor tech than the other way around.

Have fun! lol

Sometimes I take too many addys spend 8-12hrs just tweaking the smallest issue in overclocking.

Love those nights.

OC'ing is the reason we build PCs! It's the most fun part seeing how big you can make your epeen

Same card but different clocks, the 8G was the first release, these things were so damn hard to get when they release that I grabbed the first one I could get my hands on that wasn't being price gouged. The 08G is the highest OC edition.

8G - 1733 MHz Boost Clock
O8G - Boost Clock 1936 MHz

This was as far as I ever got them, but I have very basic OC knowledge and like I said it was with the stock air coolers on them. I was pissed because I was so close to the 30K.

29 294 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080(2x) and Intel Core i7-6850K
Graphics Score 45 445
Physics Score 20 098
Combined Score 9 834

I know LSUToo said his 1080Tis couldn't hit 2GHz OC in SLi at the time of his purchase. My TITAN X's hit 2010 and some games 2020 in SLi.

With that being out of the box boost clocks, those cards must be able to do 2GHz in SLi.

This is where I am having problems.

My best so far.

Core clock 1,962 MHz

And that was right out of the damn box whitch is why I am perplexed

FINALLY!

30 010 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti(2x) and Intel Core i7-6850K
Graphics Score 50 241
Physics Score 19 227
Combined Score 9 441

FYI FM has a bug right now where you will glitch and scores will drop, if you turn on off harware monitoring it fixes it, but your hardware settings show stock.
