They take 8 pin and 6 pin connectors where the 1080 only takes the 8 pin. I hope I have the right wires.
Meanwhile on the Console front, a guy walked in bragging about his One X having 6 teraflop, I told him one of those cards would out do that, and got defensive and I pulled up the specs and when he read 11.5 teraflop he got mad and walked out.

Your card will come with molex adapters if your psu doesn't have enough wires.
As long as your psu is good enough for it, you should be fine.

Should be quite noticeable. I know when I went from 75-144 it was drastic and my stance has been I will never go back, even returned my LG 4K monitor after a month I just couldn't do 60-75Hz.

90 is the sweet spot IMO. Never owned a 144 but owned a 120 w/ Gsync.
It all comes down to the game. Some games I just want the best picture possible and others frame rate.

I hate dumb consolers. I hate dumb consolers.
Went buy a XBONE controller for my laptop to play AC: Origins while at work during the week. I felt like trash because ppl probably thought im a consoler. Ghey I know.

There doesn't need to be a middle ground, now that 144Hz has become standard there are shite loads to buy. I wouldn't consider below 120Hz.
Unfortunately DisplayPort 1.4 can only do 4K 120Hz max, and the 1.3 and below can only do 4K 60Hz.

Posting from it now, just need to update the drivers, install the new monitor, update the ram config, and time to start benching.
Posted on 11/15/17 at 8:14 pm to DoUrden
Some people don't take too kindly on benching around here, be careful.

IDGAF, benching and building is what got this thread started.

Looks like you got some research and tweaking to do.

The only think I can think is that the newest driver isn't approved for 3dmark

Might not be getting enough voltage either. Give it some more juice
Posted on 11/15/17 at 11:34 pm to bluebarracuda
does running 3dmark on an ssd vs an hdd matter?

Don't think it should. Wouldn't know bc I haven't had an hdd in years

I could crack the top 30 with my setup if I overclocked my CPU again, and could duplicate the 52K graphics score I got on my very first bench.
I will ship on Monday.
You are getting a good set of cards, I still hold #28, 50, 75, and 96 for my setup with them and that's all on air.
