5.2GHz stable OC at 1.40, puts me in the Top 15 on Overclockers so far. She would not do 5.3GHz like the top top ones.

CPUZ bench: 613 single thread score. 4,611 multi-thread.

Let's see some 3D mark scores. That's the only thing I know...

7700K @ 5GHz for reference:

Nvidia's pricing their Founder's Edition 1070 Ti at $449.99.

AIB variants are priced above sometimes into $500+ territory.

I get their motive here in that they are trying to kill the Vega 56, but this pricing is really messing up the 1080 pricing considering both are pretty damn close to performance.

That isn't saying much.

Just bottlenecking your system for just a few hundred more when you wasted that on the board/CPU upgrade.

You have the money, spend it until Navi launches.

I'm good bro, you don't need to be so concerned.

You need to get some Gsync monitors already quit skimping out on cheapies!

I had the 2nd one ever made. Just was TN so sold it. I want to get another when her/4k/gsync on a glossy display comes along.

Gsync doesn't fix everything but it does help out with drops.

Adaptive sync is great! High refresh rate, adaptive sync, adjustable height tilt swivel. High end monitors are worth it!

My graphics score is higher than both of those results? 23,714.

I spent a few hours fine tuning at 5.2, also tried for 5.3 but no go.

The higher core clock yields great gains with graphics scores in synthetic benches. This is known.

Vega core clocks are actually minimal for performance, it's the HBM2 OC's that make them zoom. You barely OC the core, but OC the HBM2 from 800MHz to 1100MHz and it becomes a beast.

That's the whole point of flashing the 64 bios for the higher voltage on the HBM2 to OC.

I'm talking about your CPU core clocks pushing the 56 ahead of a 1080.

Nah that's pretty average for any cpu including Ryzen. Even in game tests the 1080 and Vega trade about 50/50 across them. For much cheaper too!

Helluva GPU!

They do trade since recent drivers but saying that's why your graphics score is higher.

Idk why you do this with Vegas price point. Yes nVidia should come down but damn it's not impressive for the age of a 1080. But then again, let's not get in that argument again.

It is a hella upper midrange GPU. Agree.
