That sucks. I've had bad experiences with fedex, and now that I say that I remember you mentioning it. Fortunately for the buyer, the seller pretty much has to bend to every whim or else the buyer can just do a chargeback and paypal will deduct it from the seller's account, plus a $20 chargeback fee.

Might be worth paying the extra $10 for the peace of mind with DHL express shipping. Or, is it that you're concerned about the quality of the catleap stand? (the panels would be the same)

Coyote -- are you familiar with the other Caselabs cases? Over the next year to 18 months, I want to transition to a caselabs case that can hold the following:

Yes, I have 2. Both Merlin's though, sm5 and sm8.. They are awesome at every level.

Want to get a mercury and st10 I believe. Anything over that is overkill for me, I like smaller form factors.

blue how did that PLS 1440 monitor you bought work out?

Perfect pixel, amazing. It was $280 when I bought it but I think they've jumped back up

I'm actually selling it today to that guy on here that was putting together a build last week.

Blue you're selling everything for your "into the wild" road trip?

Most of it is going to be put into my jeep. That's the expensive part.

He's buying my 7950, RAM, PSU, and 1440p.

I'll still have my second build (which I'm probably going to sell) and some parts from my current main build (3570k, Gigabyte UP4 mobo, Arc Midi R2)

I may sell everything and get a decent gaming laptop to use while I'm on the road. I have no clue

Are you suggesting those to me or for yourself? Just need to know which cases fit my requirements for my future radiator changes and separate loops. (plus all the 5.25" bays I need to occupy.) I may get 2 x 480s, one for each loop. But really it's the CPU (whether it's the haswell or the upcoming chips) that needs the most attention. My video card overclock is far from being limited by heat.

Well after fricking up 4 other motherboards I finally got my first socket changed out without ripping off the connection pads on the mobo. I cleaned up the old solder and put a new socket in place. Im not doing it tonight but tomorrow will be the moment of truth when I put it on my bench and test it all out to see if I was successful or not.

Took me about 45 minutes to do everything. Not too bad.

Thankfully those 4 other mobos I can send back to Asrock and they will send me replacements for $50 each within a 4-5 days so I plan on doing that one day this week.

I would look at the 955 or 965 Black Editions over that 6300 and OC the shite out of it. Ask Bruce about his 955 BE. It's pretty good and a little cheaper.

I'm pretty sure that 6300 is much better than the 955.

But I'm not very familiar with AMD processors. My 955 is pretty pimp in my backup build though

I had a 6300 and I couldn't do with it what Bruce/the internet does with the 955 or 965. I doubt he needs 6 cores anyway.

The 965 is 3.4GHz stock so it's not far off the 6300 in that regard.

$80 right now

If I were him I would bite the bullet and just get an 8120 for $40 more anyway or the 6350 for $20 more.

on passmark:
the 6300: 6400
x4 965: 4300

removed the 2 extra cores from the 6300 and it actually benches lower than the 965. plus the phenom's OC much better.
i swear the phenom's and unlockable athlons were the best cpus ever made

This is why I would buy it over that 6300 every time but that's JMO.

I would go with the phenom II x4 over that. The 81xx is a bad buy for it's price, not optimized at all for gaming.

Most i3 processors outperform it while gaming.

Take whatever you save on CPU and bump up graphics.

Or add a CPU cooler so you can OC it.
